What is The PSAA Lacrosse Academy?

Elite Athlete Training Systems (EATS) and Parkland Student Athlete Academy (PSAA) are extremely excited to bring a lacrosse academy to the Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County areas. PSAA Lacrosse Academy includes training in both Field and Box Lacrosse. Additionally, PSAA Lacrosse Academy Athletes will participate in both sport performance and strength and conditioning with Elite Athlete Training Systems. This program is currently available for junior high school students (grades 6-9) eager to learn how to play lacrosse and/or current lacrosse players wanting to continue to develop their lacrosse skills in an academy environment.

Elite Athlete Training Systems’ PSAA Lacrosse Academy program has been developed based on a collegiate lacrosse model. PSAA operates with two distinct seasons of play or semesters. The PSAA Lacrosse Academy will accept new athletes into either Season of Play 1, Season of Play 2 or in both Seasons of Play.

PSAA Lacrosse Academy includes instruction in both Field and Box Lacrosse. Additionally, PSAA Lacrosse Academy Athletes will participate in sport performance, strength and conditioning with Elite Athlete Training Systems. Instruction will be broken down into both field and box lacrosse specific instruction depending on the time of year and facility availability.

Season of Play 1 (September to January)

September/October

  • Field Lacrosse focus 
  • 3-4 Lacrosse skill development sessions per week (outdoors/weather permitting)
  • 1-2 Sport performance strength and conditioning sessions per week

November/December/January

  • Sport Performance focus
  • 3-4 Sport Performance strength and conditioning sessions per week
  • 1-2 Lacrosse skill development sessions per week

Season of Play 2 (February to June)

February/March/April

  • Box Lacrosse focus
  • 3-4 Lacrosse skill development sessions per week
  • 1-2 Sport Performance strength and conditioning sessions per week

May/June

  • Box Lacrosse focus
  • 2-4 Lacrosse skill development sessions per week
  • 2-4 Sport Performance strength and conditioning sessions per week

How do I register?
Who can register?

Parkland School Division students that are passionate about sport and are committed to the daily pursuit of elite sport performance. Sport Performance will be available for student athletes in grades 6/7, grades 8/9 and grades 10/11/12.

How is transportation handled?

HS Crew (High School Student Athletes) - transportation to E.A.T.S. is the responsibility of the student. Transportation from E.A.T.S. to Spruce Grove Composite High School and Memorial Composite High School is available.

Jr. Crew (Jr. High School Student Athletes - transportation is provided from École Broxton Park School to E.A.T.S. Students are responsible for transportation from E.A.T.S. at the end of each session.

What schools offer this program?

Parkland Student Athlete Academy is a program of choice offered by Parkland School Division and delivered by Connections For Learning in conjunction with community partners.

Grade 6-9: École Broxton Park School
Grade 10-12: Memorial Composite High School and Spruce Grove Composite High School

Sport Performance: For the 2023/24 school year PSAA Sport Performance will be offered to the following; Grades 6/7, Grades 8/9, Grades 10/11/12.
